Overview

This on-site instructor-led training is thus specially designed for participants who would like to build their knowledge in the field of finance using excel. It will give students and professionals the expertise suited for a job in financial research domain. This workshop will provide a comprehensive overview of Basic Excel for Finance as well as Advanced Financial Valuation.

Objective

The aim of this program is to provide in depth knowledge of Financial Modeling and Equity Valuation techniques. The program is entirely excel based and has been designed by industry experts with many years of experience in valuation.   • Financial Modeling using Excel (Develop a model for a sample company from Scratch)
  • Estimations/Forecasting Techniques
  • Valuation Techniques using DCF Modeling and Comparative/Multiples Approach

Program Details

The course is designed with a very practical approach to integrate theoretical knowledge of finance with the business finance using Excel Spreadsheets. The participants will get familiar with the following:

Facilitator

Gaurav Pal brings in more than 10 years of experience in International & Indian financial markets. Having worked at some of the widely respected financial institutions at senior positions, he has been instrumental in establishing 2 international derivatives exchanges in Middle East. He was head of Exchange operations & product development at Bahrain Financial Exchange before founding Intelivisto Consulting India Private Limited.

Finance professional to the core, Gaurav holds an MBA degree from IIT Roorkee. He has trained hundreds of professional in India and abroad on emerging concepts in financial markets.

Faculties Profile

Piyush Mittal
DCE graduate and alumni of Richard Ivey School of Business (Canada), has around 5 years of experience in Investment Banking (Capital Markets and M & A). He has worked on buy side and sell side Pitch Books, financial models, company valuations, Industry Research. Currently, he is assisting a Mid Market M & A team of top US investment bank and helps them on deals ranging from US$50 million to $500 million. He has worked on various different sectors including construction, food, retail, apparel, etc.

Vishal Jain
Electronics graduate from Hindu College and alumni of IILM-GSM, has more than 4 years of experience in all facets of Equity Research – Investment thesis formulation, Financial modeling, Industry analysis, Valuation & Investment research writing. Currently working with a leading research firm supporting Sell-side team of a US based Investment Bank. As an offshore research associate, he corroborates an equity analyst and works for the Media and Entertainment sector, covering global Media companies like Walt Disney, Discovery, Time Warner, Viacom, News Corp, etc.
